The smallest global city awaits

Geneva, the smallest of the global cities, is ideally located in the heart of Europe. A city with an international outlook that is served by 200 trains every day as well as 935 direct flights, Geneva has maintained a quality of life and social relationships in line with its size while offering a range of services worthy of a major city.

People from some 190 nations live on the shores of the city’s lake, attracted by Geneva’s strong economic activity and quality of life. In 2014, Geneva ranked eighth on the list of the world’s best cities to live compiled by Mercer, a US consultancy firm.

The home of the United Nations Office for Europe as well as some 200 intergovernmental organisations and NGOs, Geneva is also where 1,000 corporations have chosen to establish a branch or regional headquarters. Its 130 hotels of all categories and 55 gourmet restaurants will satisfy even the most demanding of customers.

Owing to its international nature, Geneva offers an exceptional multicultural environment, with 40 museums as well as numerous international festivals and exhibitions. Between the lake, rivers, mountains and vineyards, Geneva is more than a city; it is a world in itself, a unique setting just waiting to be discovered.
