GRST Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong based Chinese company was rewarded the grand prix of the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva for its pollution-free lithium battery. With this invention, Mr Eric Wong, Founder of GRST, could revolutionize the sector of electrical energy storage, especially for vehicles.
The chemical binder of the lithium battery developed by GRST is substituted with water which makes it more efficient, cheaper and 100% recyclable compared to regular lithium batteries. The components such as cathodes are retrieved and reused whereas its main body is soluble in water without any polluting residues. (www.grstenergy.com)
