The World Intellectual Property Organization along with the Swiss Consulate General of San Francisco Hosted the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival Exposition - The Silicon Valley International Invention Festival Exposition was held Monday, June 24th to Wednesday, June 26th, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Innovators, ground-breakers, investors, and visionaries all attended the Santa Clara Convention Center to learn from the most influential pioneers in leading industries as well as to broaden their network.
Hosted by the International Federation of Inventors Association (IFIA) and organized by Palexpo SA, 200 new inventions and products from 400 exhibitors from 25 countries were showcased. Among those who spoke at the event for more than 2,500 visitors was Santa Clara Mayor, Lisa Gillmor, Consul General a.i. of Switzerland, Thomas Schneider and the Executive Director United Inventors Association of America, John Calvert. With 70% of attendees representing companies and universities, the 30% of private inventors and researchers were able to get in touch with manufacturers, financial backers, commercial agents, and promoters to distribute their invention worldwide. This event allowed for those with an invention ready to be commercialized to receive recognition among field experts as well as media coverage by journalists, radio and TV reporters.
This event attracted a large audience and was supported by the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Swiss Consulate General of San Francisco, and the City and the University of Santa Clara.
Next year edition will be held from 23 to 25 June 2020.
